Physicians and other prescribers may apply for membership in the PBA's State Trooper Surgeons program. The longstanding relationship between law enforcement and the medical community is certainly a good one. Joining to ensure the medical well-being of the 8,000 lives under the PBA umbrella is the best one.
Membership entitles applicants to certain individual benefits, such as:
- STATE TROOPER SURGEON CREDENTIALS AND VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION
- PBA CARDS AND STICKERS
- PREFERRED MEDICAL PARTNER CERTIFICATE
- SPECIAL AWARD MIXERS FOR MEMBERS WHO HAVE SAVED LIVES
New credentials will be mailed each year upon membership renewal, although all members maintain the same STATE TROOPER SURGEON Shield that they were issued.
*Please note that we are not accepting applications at this time for residents as well as those who hold a medical title of RN, LPN, LAC, RT, LMSW, LMHC, EMT/Paramedic, PT, CRNA, MA, Pharm D, or NP*
DUES EXPLANATION:
New Applicants who join from January 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024 should expect to receive 2024 credentials about 2 weeks after application upon approval. You must work in New York State to qualify for membership.
